WEEK 1
Establish Trust & Basic Commands
Goals: Develop rapport, reduce anxiety, and introduce fundamental obedience commands.
Focus Areas:

Bonding and Socialization: Spend quality time with the dog to build trust. Include short play sessions and rewards for good behavior.

Basic Commands: Start with foundational commands like "Sit," "Stay," "Come," and "Down."

Routine Establishment: Set feeding, exercise, and rest schedules to make the dog comfortable.

Introduction to Leash Training: Begin leash walking with focus on loose-leash behavior.
WEEK 2
Reinforce Commands & Introduce New Skills
Goals: Reinforce previous commands, improve impulse control, and introduce additional behaviors.
Focus Areas:

Obedience Training: Build consistency with commands like "Heel," "Leave It," and "Place" (to teach the dog to stay on a designated spot).

Impulse Control: Practice waiting at doorways, controlled feeding (waiting for a release command to eat), and ignoring distractions.

Socialization with Other Dogs/People: Controlled interactions with other dogs or people (if appropriate) to reduce reactivity and improve behavior around others.

Distraction Training: Practice commands in more stimulating environments to improve the dog’s focus.
WEEK 3
Off-Leash Control & Real-World Application
Goals: Build reliability with commands in real-world settings and introduce off-leash control.
Focus Areas:

Off-Leash Training: Practice recalls (coming when called) and staying close off-leash in a controlled, safe environment.

Simulated Real-World Scenarios: Practice training in various settings, like parks or around people, to prepare the dog for life at home.

Owner Integration: Have a few sessions with the owner, teaching them how to maintain the training and handle any behavior challenges.
